Community Guidelines.
Rinpil is a private, one-to-one legacy vault. There is no public feed and no shared gallery, but the content you upload still passes through our storage and delivery infrastructure and is eventually seen by another human being. These rules exist to protect recipients, account holders, and the integrity of the service. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination and may be reported to law enforcement where required.
Content you may not upload, store, or send
- Any content that is illegal under US federal or state law, or the applicable law where you or the recipient are located.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. This is reported to NCMEC and law enforcement without exception.
- Sexually explicit or pornographic material.
- Content that promotes, glorifies, or facilitates violence, terrorism, self-harm, or suicide.
- Content depicting or promoting the sale or use of illegal drugs, weapons, or other unlawful goods.
- Content that harasses, threatens, bullies, defames, or targets an individual or group.
- Content that promotes hate, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.
- Recordings of another identifiable person made or shared without their knowledge and consent.
- Someone else's private videos or images that you did not create and are not authorized to share.
- Copyrighted material, trademarks, or other intellectual property you do not own or have permission to use.
- Content that impersonates another person, brand, or organization.
- Malware, phishing links, spam, or attempts to defraud the recipient.
- Personal identifying information (SSNs, financial account numbers, etc.) of anyone other than yourself, unless the recipient has a lawful need for it and has consented.
How we enforce this
We do not routinely watch your videos. We rely on automated safety scans for CSAM and on trusted-contact or recipient reports for everything else. When a violation is confirmed, we may remove content, cancel scheduled deliveries, suspend or terminate the account, and where required by law, preserve and report material to authorities.
